Bengaluru: As anticipated the State Government has decided to continue with the lockdown till May 3.

The State cabinet led by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa that met on Monday resolved to extend the lockdown till May 3 to check the spread of pandemic Coronavirus.

Likewise, it has been also decided to frame Karnataka Epidemic Diseases ordinance on the lines of Kerala and Uttar Pradesh.

However, there is no decision yet on relaxing any norms related to lockdown and the existing restrictions in place will continue to be in force, said Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister J C Madhuswamy.

The other decision is to withdraw 152 cases including those booked during the row over Tipu Jayanti in the state.
